The historic town of Bergama district includes around 70-80 villages, in many of which kilims are woven. These fabulous kills are woven with good quality local wool, and their designs and structures resembles of Caucasian kilims. Rich reds, dark blues and whites are the dominant colors. These exceptionally hard wearing Anatolian kilims with their geometrical designs, have popularity and demand for their striking simplicity.
